How do you attach stickers to an iMessage?

I've seen screenshots of people attaching stickers or pinning them to a message, but I can't figure out how to do this.

You drag them out to the conversation after you've sent the message.

If you have a sticker package installed, inside iMessage, tap the App store icon to the left of the text box. You can scroll through your installed packages here, and choose the sticker you want to use.
