How do you check the warranty information?

I bought an iMac from a private party and was wondering how I can check when the 1 year warranty ends...

Go to http://www.apple.com/support/

At the bottom of the page, there is a field labeled "Enter your hardware serial number to find out what coverage is available for your product:"
