How do you connect to your external display?

Curious to know if folks connect to external display using USB-C or HDMI with your M1 MBA or MBP? Also let me know why you use your preferred approach.

I use USB-C to connect to my monitor and charge my M1 MBA. That leaves me with one another port. I also couldn’t find a USB-C hub with a USB-C port that could drive both power and display just like the MBA ports do.

I have read about problems with usb c displays and its too expensive for me. I use some
asus display 24 inch full hd with 75hz over the original apple usb-c digital av adapter (first gen). Works fine for me and i dont like too big screens.
