How do you delete from Photostream?

How do you take stuff off of there? What exactly all goes on there?

And if you have another iDevice that's not updated to iOS 5 (still on 4.2), will it receive Photostream pictures?

You can't for now. I expect Apple will patch this in the future, this is a big thing to miss.
You can apparently reset your whole photo stream, that seems kind of extreme though.

go to icloud.com

log in click on your name
then click advance
then click reset photo stream

After resetting your Photo Stream, you can also remove any photos that have been downloaded to your device or computers. To do this, follow the directions below:

On your iOS device, you can remove photos from the Photo Stream view by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this at Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream.

If you added any Photo Stream photos to other albums or the Camera Roll on your iOS device, you can locate and delete these photos manually, if desired.

I only know how to delete it entirely, I do not know how to delete individual photos.

To remove all of the photos, go to iCloud.com, log in. Then, click on your name at the top-right next to the sign out button, go to advanced, and there will be the option to "Restore Photo Stream".

To answer your other questions, any photos you take with any of your devices, or any photos you save from apps or the internet will be in it. Also, and photos you add from your computer. And no, iCloud only works with iOS 5, therefore any devices using a previous version will not support Photo Stream. (To my knowledge.)

So to delete one photo stream photo, you have to delete all of them??

That is really stupid.

This is one of two minor compliants I have with iOS 5 - not being able to delete an individual picture in the Stream. The other is that I don't get Reminders that aren't dated in the Notification screen, but that's really minor.
