I deleted it in cydia, but on my mac its still showing up under shared in finder... weird. I've never used it but once, so I've also used SSH, so no reason for having both.

If the daemon doesn't get killed when the package uninstalls, you may have to reboot the phone.

Same problem after reboot. The difference is that i can't access the phone now but it's still in the finder.

If someone can start to install netatalk to make a screenshot of the packages installed with netatalk it could be great.

Thanks

It MAY not be actually running. I know sometimes with these Bonjour services, they will show up long after you disconnect (my MacBook will stay on the list for an hour or two after I close the lid).

If you can't actually connect to it, it may not be running. The only other thing I might recommend is to reboot the Mac and see if that makes the iPhone disappear.

I remove the package mDNSResponder on cydia. Not working for the moment.

I found the dependency list. I can't see anything on there besides the mdnsrespondor that you could safely remove. The rest of the items could potentially be used by other packages, though you could probably just remove them and see what else it tries to uninstall.

My iPhone doesn't appear anymore in the Finder since i uninstall mDNSResponder(aka Bonjour) and GNU Cryptography.

Thanx
:)

I recently installed netatalk, and couldn't get it to work right, so I uninstalled it from my iphone. However, I still see my iphone showing up in finder on my mac (snow leopard 10.6.7). Any solutions? @Newflesh, I see you got it to work after uninstalling mDNSResponder, but I'm hesitant to uninstall that.... Any suggestions?

You need to uninstall this :

Uninstalling AFP/Netatalk Using Net Talk SBSettings Toggle

I fell victim to this same irritating uninstall Netatalk bug, which killed my iPhone autonomy (AFP continues to run even while the iPhone is sleeping).
I could not use the BossPrefs plugin solution mentioned elsewhere, since BossPrefs does not run anymore with iOS 5.x.x.
But there is an SBSettings, "Net Talk Toggle" available from Cydia, which does the same trick.
Note that for AFP/Netatalk to be disabled, you need first to activate it (green) then DESactivate it (red) using this new toggle.
The disabling of AFP/Netatalk survives an iPhone/iPad reboot.
You can check it works using the Finder/Goto/Network menu on Mac OS X.

Irritating that this same incomplete uninstall problem with Netatalk has been going on since 2008, and is still there !!!:mad:
At the minimum, the Cydia infos for Netatalk should explain the bug and its workaround.
I almost had my iPhone battery replaced before discovering the source of the problem was some package I (thought I) uninstalled...
