How does everyone here discover new interesting apps? At the moment I’ll occasionally check the App Store home page but are there nice websites or social accounts that highlight interesting apps?

Sure there are:

- AppRaven (app) - my favorite for (pay once, genre) collections and suggestions/reviews and price decrease
- Airport (apps in TestFlight: TestFlight app, website)
- Departures (apps in TestFlight: website)
- Github - https://github.com/pluwen/awesome-testflight-linkawesome TestFlights (website)
- AppApp.io (pay once iOS games search engine)
- Fnd.io (App Store in your browser)
- AppSliced (website, newsletter)
- TouchArchade (iOS games: forum, website, newsletters)
- 148Apps (iOS Games)
- Reddit (e.g. subreddits: iOSGaming, iosapps)
- Twitter
- TapTap (games in TestFlight: app and website)
- PutApp (discover various apps)

Oh wow... AppApp.io is extreme. ANYTHING with IAP is filtered out! Not surprisingly, but it does mean I'll have to do additional research on "good IAP", like paying once to unlock the full, once to remove all ads, or paying once to add expansion content. Vs. the "bad IAP" like time meters, "gems", other in-game consumable currencies.

Heh.. this might be the first time I used MR's "bookmark" function :)

AppApp.io is indeed really nice although it is limited to games only which is why I use the AppRaven app (and even paid once to become a pro member). It also has these in-app filters and I also love the collections you can create and see of other users and by the developer itself as well. Soon a v2.0 is expected which will have a slicker layout and some additional features.
