How do you do video message?

I've been using voice text but I thought there was a way to do video message.
Any quick tip? Thx.

As in just recording a video and sending it (similar to taking a photo and sending it)?

Hold the camera icon on the left when in iMessage. When the pop up shows, slide your thumb to either photo or video. Release your thumb when you're done recording.
