I could’ve sworn I saw a great deal for an AW S3 for like $129.99 a few days ago on the MR homepage but after scrolling multiple pages have yet to come across the same deal.

It’s my kids birthday soon and wanna get an AW for them.

Just wondering how to go about finding the best deal. If the price is right I may get them a newer iPhone instead seeing as their first Gen SE is falling apart.

I haven't seen a deal that low for an AW S3 GPS, but maybe there was a refurb out there at that price. You have to be careful from whom you buy refurbs though. I would always trust Apple refurbs (https://www.apple.com/shop/refurbished), but not from other vendors including Amazon. Apple's come with a one-year warranty (same as new) and are eligible for the same Applecare+ plans as new products. Knowing the details about other vendors' refurb return policies is an important factor to consider.

For buying resources, I cruise:

I'll use Amazon for price comparisons, but for some electronic items I won't buy from it (even though I have Prime) because of the return policy. Apple and Best Buy's policies--and even Walmart--are much better.

Swappa is not bad if you're in the US, you should check that out. I haven't ever personally bought from there, but I've never heard a bad things about them.

It would be best if you were careful between the new version and the reused version, the used product, it is best to buy it from an official Apple distributor.
