Ok, I never have this trouble on my Retina MBP and old iMac running 10.0.0.

Today I just got my Retina 5k, everything is good, but one thing making me very frustrated.

I like to see the size and dimension of all my folder in certain size, with the icons placed in a certain way. But when I restart my iMac, everything goes back to default location and size, how do I fix this problem, why is this problem not showing up on my old iMac or retina MBP?

ny somewhere
in the Finder, go to View>Show View Options. there you can change the icon size, the spacing between icons, etc. if 'snap to grid' is on (for example), uncheck it see if this fixes it...

Thanks for replying I did all these. The problem is that when I restart my computer, all these setting will go back to default and I really don't like it. Because I want those icons to look in a certain size and in a certain position.
