I need to tell my blind wife how to do this so I can't do it myself. with the Alaska airlines app she checks in with it then gets a boarding pass. how does she get that into passbook? I goofed up when I took her to the airport and did to check in in time with the app so I did not have a chance to try it.

She clicks the Add to Passbook button below the QR code on the boarding pass in the Alaskan Airlines app.

cool too late anyway because she did not know she could check in before she arrived then her mom took over. I should have checked it out before she left but I thought you could scan the printout you get from the machine.

Some codes you can scan from prints, but not all.

Open Passbook, pull down on your cards and at the top there is a plus sign"+" .. Click that and where is shows Passes, click the "Scan Code"

Ya I tried that and no go so I did it the old way. It may be a year before I need it again

The boarding pass will only show up the day of your departure depending on which carrier you use. I used AA and the passed showed up a few hours before departing.

Add the airline apps to Notification. Then on the day of departure the boarding pass will show up in Passbook or the Airline App.

Check the Airline Website App info to see when it will show up.

Next time you might have to check the notifications before she boards.
