My iPhone won't show up in the Finder. It shows up in the sidebar and when I select it, my iPhone's name, model, and size show up in the top of the window, but in the window itself all I see is the spinning "Loading" wheel.

This happens no matter if I plug my iPhone into the Mac or do it over wifi.

I'm trying to manually add a playlist I've created in the Music app to my iPhone.

I have the latest macOS and iOS on my devices.

Thanks for any help!

I think it's syncing while the spinning wheel is animated. Just click on it and wait a while for it to sync. Give it a few minutes (maybe 10) and see what happens.

Thanks, but maybe I should have been more clear: I mean the user interface doesn't even show up in the Finder window. It's just blank.

Ok, here's what it should look like after you confirm to Trust on Mac, then Confirm Trust on iPhone.

SOLVED: Under Finder Preferences go to the Sidebar tab and you can add "iOS Devices" to window sidebars.

Are you plugging your iPhone into a USB port on the computer, or into a USB hub?

Some hubs won't allow you to mount the iPhone.

Thank you for your suggestions! I was plugging it directly into the computer (through this stupid dongle lol)
