In my manbag, aka laptop backpack. It has a small pocket n the main compartment that fits it nicely. I also jut got my Eco-vie case from Maeware today which helps.
Got this netbook case at Best Buy. (sorry the img is so big ...)

I'm a woman, so I just carry mine in my regular bag. Currently it's a zebra print shoulder bag that can expand if you unzip the sides. It's got pretty gold straps that are thin and woven, sort of like small rope. The iPad fits perfectly with lots of room to spare, even alongside all my other stuff.
I hear many dudes are carrying them in a murse.

I have the rigid incase that is much better than the original apple one; cost 19 bucks more, but is more solid and safe

OK, I may have just found the PERFECT bag in my closet!!!
The front, with a large flap. It measures 10" wide by 12" tall, in dark brown leather that is soft, soft, soft!
The back, with a small zippered pocket for...my iPhone?
It has two interior pockets...one that zips and one that is a giant slot, perfectly big enough for the 3G iPad when it arrives.
AND it has a zipper that goes around the perimeter to allow for expansion just in case I want to stuff something else inside, like a magazine.
I bought this bag 3 years ago in Venice and have only used it once or twice. I'm stoked!!! I knew when I spent too much money on it that I needed it for something.
