Ok guys, I'm using a drag and drop method to get music to my SD card - which is fine for albums, but I have playlists in iTunes that I'd like to be able to use on my S4.

I'm using Rocket Player for now, because, although the Google Music app is pretty good, it shows all my podcasts (I rather have podcasts show up in a podcast app). However, Rocket Player only shows my music, despite the ridiculous icon. I'm also compare to the built it Music app, which I guess is by Samsung.

What are your solutions for iTunes syncing to Android (Galaxy S4)?

I don't sync with anything, I just drag & drop to my android SD card as well.

Yep, I use Android Transfer. Works great, but want to find a way to get Playlists from iTunes sent over.

iSyncr.

only app I have ever purchased & worth it

how does play sync from itunes?

yep...same here iSyncr and Rocket player.....
This combo will sync all of my playlists from iTines as well.

Google play music takes care of everything for me. Everything that's on my computer is on my phone. The second I download something from iTunes I can get it on my Nexus 4.

How do you keep Podcasts from showing in Google Music Player (app on the Android)?

I have used that in previous years on my nexus device but it just uploaded music. No playlists etc

It has playlists now. At least it uploaded mine. Google play music has been fantastic. Once installed and all my songs are uploaded it is totally invisible. I make a playlist in iTunes it is there in Play Music. Download a song. It is there. Works totally in the background, no effort on my part.

The only problem with Google music is that you can't (or it won't let you) store the music on the SD card which is a bit of a bummer for those of us that like to keep keep our GB of music there.

Yes you can. Only if you are rooted... Stole this off XDA somewhere but don't have the direct link...

Google Play Music (Version 4.4.811H.526848)

1. Open Settings > Application manager > All > Google Play Music
2. Select "Force stop" and "Clear data"
3. Open Root Explorer
4. Create the following folder path on your SD card (/mnt/extSdCard) :/GoogleMusic/files
5. Tap and hold the folder named "files" until menu appears, and select "Link to this folder" at the bottom of the list
6. Navigate to /data/data/com.google.android.music/
7. Hit the "Create Link" button at the bottom and the "files" folder should be linked to the location sitting on your external sdcard.
8. Open "Play Music" app and sync
9. Select "Choose on device music" and it should show the available space on your sd card
10. Verify files and folders after initial sync has completed. You should see the artwork and mp3 files if you're temporarily caching files in there.

I did the above because I didn't want all my cached music to hang around on the internal storage. I've got a 32gb class 10 card coming and that should give enough headroom for my use! Without the Google music option to temporarily cache music, the playback is pretty inconsistent here in the NH area. Caching it tends to allow the player to...well...play!
