I use apple give back to trade-in/upgrade my ipads, iphones, and apple watches everytime and i love it. I have had really bad experience with ebay and craigslist in the past so im glad the program is there and i dont mind losing a bit of value. Anyway, i want to get the latest airpods but my current gen 1 airpods work just fine and i dont want them to sit around and do nothing, id want to get SOMETHING from them ( friends and family already have airpods so i already tried giving them away). anyone in my situation? advice?

I Usually do the same thing and go to my friends and family first. If not then I put it out on Facebook to the people I am friends with on there and see if anyone is interested. If not then I will put it on the Facebook marketplace because I can set the terms and conditions of where we meet up and what is said and done. If not and it’s a phone or an iPad I go to swappa.com

I’ve never had to sell anything like AirPods so I don’t know about those.

Ew!

But seriously, ew. Guess there might be a market for cheap (note, cheap) earbuds/headphones, but personally, not going to pay a premium for Airpods. 1) battery has seen better days 2) been in someone's ears, unless really cheap, can get something "better" bang for the buck.

Simple math: iPhone will see roughly 1/2 depreciation each year (yes, not as bad if you can find someone online to pay more). One year old pair is down to about $80 value. Add in 1yr usage, and seemingly that battery life on an Airpod is about two years, a bit pricey for something that might only live another year.

Go the family route, but don't try to max out profit with them: makes for an awkward family get together down the road.
