How do you like to play Team Fortress 2?

With the new update just released, I picked this game up again, and I cant believe how much fun im having.

Its better than I remember, and I remember it being brilliant.

Im asking this, because I only use the soldier most of the time, and sometimes the scout (on CTF) or sniper, but Im not so good at these.

So how do you play?

Do you have a favorite class?

Do you switch class often?

I'd be interested in the responses

I used to play it for hours each day, then L4D took over. I think my total playtime is somewhere between 300-500 hours because I bloody love it .

Demoman used to be my fave class, even for attacking.
Then I got into the Engineer as my connection went to s**t .
Now I'm using all classes except Soldier and Scout. But I get more kills with the Demoman still.

And yes! I switch class often now.

i generally play as sniper, medic or heavy. I'm not particularly good at the game, but it's still lotsa fun. My brother owns the sh*t out of me.

Been a Team Fortress player since the old days of Quake, been playing Valve games since Half Life. Can't stop. Won't stop.

Anyway, my main class I play as is Soldier (although I've noticed his rocket jump ability was adjusted a bit in the recent update). I love juggling people, blast them at their feet and when they go skyward give 'em a couple more rockets

I love playing as Demo as well, stickies are great - but I've gotten really accurate with the regular grenade launcher and those things are deadly if you can get consecutive shots with them.

It also depends on the map, if I'm playing a Payload map often I'll be switch to Medic or if we have enough Medics I'll go Heavy to support said doctors. Heavy + Medic teams can be devastating.

I only play on Dustbowl. Infact a bunch of us set up a group just for it . But I'm getting into other maps now. Hydro was one of my favourites too but everyone stopped playing it, and Gravelpit was a very fun one. Generally I'll just stay on a map specific server until I get bored. I don't like getting into a map and then have the server start on a new one .

And yes! A good spy is brilliant. It was my fave class at launch.

Out of interest has anyone found a hat yet? I've still to get a drop! Had to earn all my new weapons through achievements.

A good player of any class can do good damage to an uncoordinated enemy team, as to spy, the dead ringer people are pretty deadly if you know how to use it and the other team doesn't communicate.

To get a hat some people do the idle server thing.

I played it when it came out a ton but havn't had a computer to play it with for awhile but when I was playing my favorite/best class was the demo man. After him I like heavy then sniper probably.

I've seen so many youtube videos of this game its not funny. I'm trying to get it working on Crossover Games but it won't load. Anyway to refrain from getting off topic, spy and scout look freakin' sweet.

P.S But if anyone has advice on the Crossover Games issue, I do have a thread on it!
