So my iPhone X had a issue where battery would drain quickly at random times.
Took it to the Apple Store, and the first time they did a DFU restore with iCloud backup. This didn't fix the problem. Second time I went they gave me another iPhone X (replacement phone), so when I got home I connected to iTunes and put an entire back-up from my old X back on the new X. This battery draining bug has returned and I believe it is something associated with software.
What is the proper way to restore my iPhone X, to remove any iPhone X software bug?
Here are the previous threads I had regarding this issue:

I would just do another restore and then check your camera permissions. Remove every third party app and see if it resolves the issue. If I you google this problem you will find it has happened with other models and iOS versions in the past. Some say an iOS update fixed it, but my money is on a third party app running amok. Any third party apps using a lot of battery? Are all apps up to date?

If all else fails, and you don’t want to see if it goes away, you could make sure everything you care about is synced to the cloud, and then reset and skip the restore. Just manually install your apps as needed.

Before doing a restore you should remove all Apps, see if the issue is resolved, if yes, begin by installing apps individually so you can single out the culprit, if no:
Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again
  1. Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
  2. If iTunes is already open, close it. Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, borrow one from a friend or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.
  3. While your device is connected, force restart it with these steps, but don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo, wait until the connect to iTunes screen appears:
    • On an iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the connect to iTunes screen.
    • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see connect to iTunes screen.
    • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the connect to iTunes screen.

When I took it to Apple the first time they did a factory restore and iCloud back-up, so I had to manually re-download my apps again. At that time I only re-downlaoded Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube and Google Apps (Docs, Slides, Drive, Classroom). Even with only these apps the same issue occurred then. I'm running iOS 11.2.5.
However, I have done what you guys have suggested. I deleted ALL third party apps, so right now my iPhone X only has stock Apple Apps. I will test this out, to see if it fixes the issue. I will keep you guys updated! Thanks for the help!

You could also go a step for and “Erase all Settings” this would at least keep your data. You can turn on auto downloads for the apps for when you start getting back to normal. I wouldn’t erase settings unless this doesnt work. That would wipe passwords, Apple ID, Wi-Fi info so be sure you’ve got the info before doing that or the restore

Alright now I am worried. It has been three and a half hours since I deleted every single third party app from my phone. I just let it sit on my table. It had 79%, now it has 65%. It says camera took 24% battery while being in use for 1min. This is concerning because on my first iPhone X, it said camera used 80% charger while in use for 1 min and now on my second (replacement) X, it says camera 24%, for 1 min usage.
I am going to do a factory restore on it, because this is just ridiculous.

I would skip all third party apps until you verified issue is resolved. Then add them back one at a time. Of course blocking their access to Camera should help as well. I have pretty much all the apps you mentioned, but I have never seen that kind of camera battery utilization or the Camera Audio utilization. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Restoring a device from a backup should never be done for diagnosing an issue. You need a clean slate with nothing except the factory-installed apps. When you restore from a backup, you're putting everything right back on the phone, including whatever is causing the problem.

Restore through iTunes and DO NOT RESTORE A BACKUP. If issue persists it is likely a HW issue

Okay here is the deal. With my FIRST iPhone X, when I did a factory restore, I just did an iCloud back up (so only retrieved contacts, notes and etc, NO 3rd party apps). This did not solve the issue so Apple replaced my iPhone X and said it was an HW issue. For my replacement X, I put an entire backup on it, since Apple said the issue with the First X was HW related. But now the issue has returned on the SECOND iPhone X. Weird eh?
So I did a factory restore on it today and have not downloaded any 3rd party apps. Going leave the phone like this over night today to see if that helped solve it.

To clarify, when you say "iCloud backup" do you mean that on the Apps and Data page in the setup assistant you chose "Setup as new iPhone" then signed in with your Apple ID, OR did you choose "Restore iCloud Backup"?

Whoops I should have made that clear.
For first iPhone X: Step up as new iPhone and then signed into iCloud.
For this replacement iPhone X: Used back-up from iTunes (restore and backup)
