I want to put an image as wallpaper, but the "Preview" window doesn't has an option for this.....and I really don't like iPhoto, I don't like the way iPhoto organizes all your photos (putting your photos in folders by date is not what I want, and I can't change this).

So is there any other way to put an image as wallpaper? (is it possible to do it from safari? without having to download the pic.)
And also, is there any good programs to see your pics. (more like the one that comes with the PC's:eek: )

Thanks,

Roco

Right-click (or ctrl-click) on the Desktop and choose Change Desktop Background... (or access the same place through System Preferences -> Desktop & Screen Saver.)

when you say like on a PC assuming you mean imageviewer and if so what features are you looking for that iPhoto or the previewer don't offer? BTW if you are like me with a ton of photos in iPhoto I find it easier just to copy the photo file to my desktop and then following the steps the previous poster mentioned look on desktop instead. That is assuming you don't have more photos on your desktop than iPhoto :p

Like clicking "right" and going to the next picture (without having to make a slideshow) or being able to select a pic and put it as a wallpaper from there and those kind of thinks, that aren't so important but that many people like.

Maybe "imageviewer" is one of the things I like about Windows (and MSN).

Thanks for the replies anyway. I have so much to learn about macs that sometimes I get upset.

So, selecting all your photos and hitting command-o to open them all in Preview isn't an option? Then you hit the down arrow and scroll through them.

Or, selecting all the photos, right-clicking and selecting Slideshow isn't an option?

You are not limited to using iPhoto's way of organising, you can choose to keep your photos where they are and still use iPhoto. There's an option in the iPhoto preferences to do this. iPhoto exists though so that you don't need to worry about organising images, I've been using it for nearly 2 years and have never even looked in the iPhoto library folder. Everything you could want to do with images you do through iPhoto including:

Creating Albums
Editing
Back-up of images
Email
Burning image discs
Setting one or many images as wallpaper and having them automatically scroll
Browsing images

Basically everything you would want to do to images is all contained within one program. Forget about having to organise images, just work with the images instead.
