How do you redownload every app you purchased?

Is there an option to download every application I've bought before? I know there are a couple apps I've bought but ended up losing, it seems the only true way is to "find the app" again and trying to buy it again which brings up the "You've purchased this before" dialogue.

Use iTunes to sync your iDevice app purchases. You can then use iTunes to send apps to your iDevice in case of loss.

if apps are neither on your iPhone/iPad the. I would guess the only other way of finding them would be to check you emailed receipts.

There's a past purchases section in your iTunes account details area. It might be worth checking to see if there are links there to the apps before going the receipt route.
