Go to Home/Library/Preferences/ and delete/move com.apple.Sherlock.plist. This should restore all the default settings (unless I'm misinterpreting the question).

Mike, you stole the question right out of my … um… keyboard(?).

Anyway, Sherlock has been acting so effing weird lately. For example, I search for something in the eBay channel and I decide I want to track it. I click the "Track Listing" button and sure enough it's there in my tracking panel. Fine so far.

If I try to re-sort the listings according to price or name or whatever in the tracking panel, Sherlock takes a "dump". It doesn't quit on me, but the number of bids will go to 0, and the bid ends column gets set to "Ended" when the auction still has about 2 days and change to go!

Of course, dictionary doesn't work for me too! <- This new rolleye emoticon sucks!

If you need to reinstall a part of the OS, you don't have to reinstall the whole thing. Go to versiontracker.com and look for a program called Pacifist. This program will allow you to open installer packages, then you can examine the files on the OS installer disk and select those components you want to (re)install.
