I did a search but didn't find any post that seems to relate to this question.

Anyway, I did finally find the repeat button in iOS 10 Music. But it only seems to repeat the entire album/playlist. In previous versions of iOS the repeat button would toggle between off, repeat single song, and repeat all. Am I missing something, or did they get rid of the ability to repeat a single song?

You just need to tap a few more times and stop a while between each tap. You will find it eventually.

Okay, I tapped it very slowly, and I notice that it seems to go from off to on to on to off. I'm guessing one of the two "on" states is repeat one song, and the other is repeat all, but I can't see any difference in the icon. I have bad eyesight, is there a difference in the icon I'm not seeing?

Yep. There is a difference between each status.

Hope this would help a bit.
To simplify, there is an "on" state with a very small number 1 on it. That is the one repeating one song only.

Thank you for posting the pictures. But that "1" is so tiny, there's no way I can see that on my iPhone! :( :( :(
Perhaps wording is better than figure this time. You can file a complaint to Apple and see if they will change the design for accessibility issue.

Yes, I will write to Apple, but very disappointed they did this in the first place. I believe that before, they had a circle around the "1" which made it easier to see.

Anyway, thanks again for your help.

No worries. :) I am glad that I could help you.
Btw, do you think this "repeat one" easy to see?

Hmmm, I'm not sure. I think I need to see the "repeat all" icon too to see if I can tell the difference.

It's not whether the "1" itself is easy to see, it's more whether the two icons are different enough from each other so I can tell them apart.

And here we go:

Compare this with my previous post. Is this one easier to see?
Btw, I need to finish a markup to allow screenshot upload. Weird.

I'd prefer the circle to be slightly bigger, but yes, I can tell they are different.
So this is the design made by developer of Marvis+, a third party music app I am using to rate songs before Apple bringing back star rating in latest beta.
