I'm on 10.5 and using these instructions. iPad is 2021 11" pro. I'm trying to set it up for syncing over wifi.

I plugged in and got this screen:

I clicked get started and got this screen:

I hit continue and it just takes me to this screen and the iPad is ejected from the sidebar:

What's happening here?

Is this the first time you have connected the iPad to the Mac? If not, do you recall seeing the trust this computer pop up on the Mac and iPad? If so, did you tap on trust this device?
Yep first time and I did click trust this device. Unless I mis-clicked, which is possible.

I remember having an issue getting both to prompt to trust, and the iPad did, but the iMac didn't. Weird. I unplugged the iPad, and plugged it back again, and they both prompted, and all was good. I've had issues occasionally getting Photos to sync, and have had it refuse to sync. But usually ejecting and reconnecting works.

I wonder if there is a compatibility issue between 10.5 and the IPP...

Ah, is the MacBook also supposed to ask to trust the iPad? Because I’m pretty sure that didn’t happen.

Out of interest what is it you are trying to sync between Mac and iPad? Given you can use iCloud/OneDrive/Dropbox for documents, and then most other apps like photos, messages etc auto sync??

I've reset the trust settings and restarted both devices. Still no luck.

Mostly documents. I know there are other ways to do it, but I just want wifi syncing enabled for the sake of it. In other words I want it to work mostly because I can't get it to work and it should haha.
