I have an iPhone 13 mini and was happy to hear that Apple will finally support RCS with iOS 18. I've been using iOS 18 since release but to my disappointment, I still get green bubbles with non iOS users, and I assume, I'm still getting billed for every single SMS.

So what's up with this? I thought RCS was supposed to work now. Do I have to turn it on somehow?

Settings > Apps > Messages > RCS Messaging

RCS Messages will still show as green messages, only iMessage shows as blue.

Your carrier has to add support for RCS. If it‘s not showing for you in the Messages settings, your carrier does not support RCS yet.
