I downloaded the BD Touch (its not called Live as I wrote in the topic...) app after having read that I could use it as a remote to control my PS3 when playing Bluray movies. I can't even connect with it, though, so can someone please explain to me how you use this thing?

Also, can you use the iPhone for anything else with the PS3? I read about someone having hacked the Remote Play for PSP so it should also work on iPhones now, but that **** was too encrypted to me so I dunno.. they called it Open Remote Play, I think

plug your ps3 into your modem, then connect your iphone to your wifi network. they should both be on the same network but connected with different methods. now try.

I appreciate your reply, but is it not possible to do this with the ps3 connect wireless? I dont have an ethernet cable long enough to connect it to the router

bump. I'd really love to get this and the open remote play to work

I don't see why over wireless it wouldn't work, unless there is a bandwidth issue from the PS3.

Are you getting an error over wireless? Could you move the PS3 and plug it in to just try out the wired solution to see if it works?

After looking this over, it seems like it only works on BD Touch Movies, but since I don't own any of the listed ones I can't really test it out. I've never heard of something that only works if one of the devices is hooked up to a router, so I'm not sure how that could be a problem. OP - You are trying for one of the movies that supports BD Touch, right?

Nah I just figured it would work on any movie. So I can't use it as a regular remote to play, pause, navigate menus and such?

And does anyone know anything about Open Remote Play? I can't test it out because you need a hacked PSP to set it up, but supposedly you can use any device, including iPhone, to control the PS3 - just like Remote Play on PSP. I wonder how well it works though
