Since iOS 12 has added the Screen Time feature and revamped its “Battery” section in the Settings app, I am having a hard time figuring out how many hours and minutes of usage my phone gets since its last full charge. Previously this was the default information provided in the Battery section in the Settings app. Now it seems as if it is displaying total phone usage over 24 hours instead of total phone usage since the last full charge.

This is why not updating my iPhone X to iOS 12 Keeping 11.2.1 forever I will miss this feature.
I believe it’s the most accurate way to quickly gauge if there’s something off with the behavior of your battery. A shame it’s gone. I wonder what their motivation behind removing it is. I still think my SE was faster on iOS 11, but apparently I’m in the extreme minority on that.

You know exactly what their motivation IS.

iOS 12 is faster but eats more battery and they don't want people to know that - which is silly, because they're gonna know anyway, just like last year when all the older iPhones were slowed down by Apple.

I’ve used my phone 30 minutes now with WiFi and already lost 11%. In the past I could use my phone 1-1,5 hours to lose 10%.

They need to bring back this feature puts me right off updating my iPhone x to iOS 12.

I wonder what are they going to remove next in iOS 13 next year.

You have to manually add up both screen on and screen off since you unplugged your phone, hour-by-hour. For example, you unplugged at 6 AM, it's 10 AM now, you add up both screen on and screen off at 6-7; 7-8; 8-9; 9-10. That is what previously was usage time. As per standby time, you just have to calculate how many hours have been since you unplugged.
Apple removing useful features yet again.

All this work you have to go through to calculate your last full charge/unplugged. Crazy

This is correct but in its current state for me and some others on here, the screen off time is hardly ever right. I’ve listened to podcasts for hours with the screen off and it’s reported it as like 25 minutes of screen off time. Also the screen on time can be wildly inaccurate as well.

Here’s a little trick. Wait till you hit the next hour say like 12pm at 12:03 open up about 40 apps really quick. Then go to that hour on the graph. It will show you used 40 minutes of screen on time in the last 3 minutes! It always gives a minute of screen on usage when you open up and app even if you close it right away. So this can cause the screen on times to be inflated. Screen time seems to be more accurate with actual screen on usage but sometimes I feel like it’s off too.

Overall it’s a mess. I really wish it could go back to the way it was. For the past few days I’ve stayed away from checking screen time and battery usage and have just been enjoying the new snappyness of iOS 12 and trying to stop obsessing over battery. Maybe they will update it and make it better or more accurate. We will see I guess.

I've read that it was screwed up. A friend's iPhone 7 didn't get great battery life on iOS 11 (5 hours, while I'm getting 8 on my 6s on iOS 9). When I checked usage like that in iOS 12, it had like 2 hours and the phone had 30% left. Even if iOS 12 is still a mess like iOS 11 was, it still sounds like it is too low.
I think you are right. Screen Time is broken. Really stupid for Apple to take the time since last full charge away. Change for the sake of change. They don't even care about functionality as long as it is new. Just like iOS 7 was.
Another example? In macOS Mojave, they do not display download progression in MB (i.e, 45 MB of 2.77GB downloaded), they just display the useless iOS-like circle progression symbol, with no reference to actual progress in MB/GB. Change for the sake of change.
