More so than spotify?

Lets say I self release an album and get it on apple music would I be able to put my music in public playlists and share it that way? or do anything like that?

If I self release an album would I even be able to get it on spotify?

Thank you to anyone who can answer those 2 questions and tell me how Apple Music benefits small/indie artists more so than other streaming services

Unfortunately I can't answer either question, except the one that is asked in the title. I believe that Apple Music will help small artists by putting their songs in a special genre which then links them to the small artists "Apple Music" personal Feed/page so people who discovered and liked the new artists music can follow along with the artists "musical journey". So it helps small artist expand by making it easier for people to listen and essentially become fans of small artists

Thanks for the reply! Can anyone confirm/expand on what he said?

And answer my other Qs? Thanks you!

Nobody really knows until the service is out for people to play with. It is extremely difficult to answer any questions until then. Even the indies do not know the answer because they're still negotiating the contracts with Apple at the moment.

Off my head, you can use the Connect page to share updates, stay in touch with your fans, etc etc.

Bumping your thread is not going to help and is only likely to hurt your case.

Well Apple Music has connect (although poorly implemented, would rather it be side by side with the music rather than a separate tab) which lets artists communicate directly with the listeners through various forms of expression. It's okay.

Don't really post on this forum much... But other forums I post on if your thread doesn't get picked up you bump it
