I'm making a guarantee (warranty) claim on a faulty trackpad on my MBP M1 Pro Max.

Assuming the trackpad needs replacing, how does Apple do this? I can't imagine them being able to do it without having to also replace the battery, for example. Or are they able to remove the battery and glue it back in again after?

TIA.

On your particular model, the trackpad can be removed while the battery is installed:

Thanks!

That's actually a shame because I was hoping Apple might be forced to replace the battery, which after less than a year is showing just 90% design/original capacity :( Oh well. I guess that'll be a task for a me in a year or two.
