i've got a 56 inch television and get my cable in 1080i. will i be disappointed in how movies rented from apple tv looks on my big screen? i'm not overly picky about 1080i or 1080p. in fact, i have no idea what the difference is. but, i will know if the video feed just looks crappy. any thoughts?

Anything bought from itunes up until now looks decent (movies, tv shows). I've been really impressed though with 720p video files. Crisp and clean pictures. Of course, it also depends on the tv you have too.

No one can rent them yet so no one knows what they look like. You can play purchased movies on AppleTV now - most look good - near DVD quality. I have a ton of HD movies that look awesome on AppleTV - Im guessing this is what the HD rentals will look like - but we really wont know until the new software is released.
