no twist. I would buy it at the apple store tho.. and then you can get both the printer and ipod. it is a mail in rebate and i think there is a limit per household.
Ok, but do I also receive the student discount at the store on the laptop?
In the US unless you are a graduating senior you aren't eligible for the promotion.
Damn, I'm a soph .
they don't check just tell them you want it and they don't ask any questions I've done it every year for a few years since i was in highschool and it works everytime
What about if I order it online, will it still work?
In the US unless you are a graduating senior you aren't eligible for the promotion.
Miles, I don't know where you got your info but you are VERY wrong.
EDUCATION INDIVIDUAL PURCHASE QUALIFICATIONS: Those eligible to purchase as Education Individuals include faculty, staff, students, and parents as follows:
K–12: Any employee of a public or private K–12 institution in the United States is eligible. In addition, school board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed
members are eligible. PTA or PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers are eligible.Higher Education: Faculty and staff of higher education institutions; and students attending, or accepted into a higher education institution, are eligible.
Higher Education Parents: Parents purchasing on behalf of their child, who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private higher education institution in the
United States, are eligible.
Well, OK- but I get my info from the Terms and Conditions (PDF, 2010 version) which states:
Emphasis mine. Please note that the "K-12" category does not include students.
So, what evidence are you citing to support your claim?
And I know this sounds silly, but doesn't "K-12" refer to kindergarten thru' 12 grade?
Yes, and since you are a sophomore (grade 10 in the US) you aren't officially eligible.
Well, k-12 means everywhere up from elementary school to senior years, that's what I thought, sorry if I sound kind of dumb.
I just bought my MBA about a week ago online from apple. I just found my school, picked product and upgrades, then checked out. I was not required to show proof of enrollment of any kind.
Also, what miles is saying is when you read his post (the bolded part) it does not state students of K-12, only an employee. Even thought I think anyone can just go online and click on the education store and purchase from there with the education discount.
