Hey, I'd like to figure out how MM works exactly, to see if I want it? can anyone let me know?

Is it true:
You have to forward the e-mails from your other e-mail accounts to your Me e-mail account to get them?

You can only reply from your @me address?

EDIT: I'd like to add:

How does MM push data around? does it use the iPhone's 3G connection, wifi? or what?

Kind Regards

It's just a mail (and other stuff) host that's designed to sync with the appropriate apps on your Mac and/or iPhone. Nothing really magic here, the same services can be gotten through other means, though not necessarily in one place nor as seamlessly.

You can have email coming to or sent from as many different addresses as you want. The Apple Mail app (on both the Mac & iPhone) can handle POP and IMAP accounts just fine--the iPhone can additionally handle other vendor-specific accounts as well, including Exchange, GMail, Yahoo, and AOL. Mobile Me (web side) will only sync & display the ".me" stuff, though.

MM doesn't have anything to do specifically with the iPhone as a conduit. The iPhone would only be another client syncing with the data on the MM servers ("the cloud"). The iPhone will, however, sync through any available data connection (WiFi, 3G, Edge).

Ok, thanks, so I'd have to forward any other e-mail accounts to my @me account to get those e-mails.

Alright, cheers
