Hello! :)

Who, exactly, is the "administrator" referred to in this screenshot?

How can one ascertain for how long the ban remains in force?

Can one challenge the decision in any way?

Any help will be much appreciated.

I don’t know. Maybe try here:

https://support.apple.com/contact There are world wide phone numbers there.

Thank you for your response,'Huntn'. :)

I have no idea who is running the ASC (Apple Support Communities) forums but the folk at Apple Support have advised me that the ASC has nothing to do with Apple itself! For years I have wondered just who "The Hosts" actually are - I was told that I'd find that out only when I reached Level 6 and had access to The Lounge! https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-11921

As you don't know the answer to my question would you, perhaps, or one of your colleagues here, be willing to ask directly on the ASC so that there can be no doubt?

A link to any response should, of course, be posted in this thread so that I, and any other interested folk, can visit and see what is said in response to the question.;)

[doublepost=1543423054][/doublepost]I found this article about ASC very interesting, especially from a security point of view. https://sites.google.com/site/apple...no-longer-recommend-apple-support-communities

Sure I can ask. :)
I just posted a question in the Apple Community Forum and will relay an answer when I get one.

How does one get banned from the Apple support forums?
Simply by failing to follow the rules set out here https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-5952

There's a recent thread about same here:- https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8651335

Did you read the thread posted at message 6? Some interesting observations were made in the article.https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-5952

I was just going to post this. @Brawdy14 :)

  1. For questions or problems regarding your Apple Support Communities account, please post a question in the Using Apple Support Communities site, or email communityaccounts@apple.com
Thank you for your help with this matter 'Huntn'. I wonder why my detractor there seems concerned about your safety and security. You have my firm assurance that you will be receiving no personal email from me unless you ask me to contact you.

Indeed, to which address would I write?!!! ;)

They're very aggressive, in that if you post any complaints and/or not asking for tech support they come down on you.
That has been my experience too!

Have you ever used the EtreCheck 'tool' which is advocated by many of the 'helpers' on the ASC forums?

Is there, perhaps, an alternative tool advocated by the long-term users of these MacRumors forums?

That’s been my experience also, I have been banned and had posts removed for both those reasons. They just don’t like any questioning or complaining. People like our friend who tried to ward off Huntn with security scares seem to be at the heart of it.

Looks like spam to me.
