How does the iSkin feel on the MBP?

I'm debating between the MacBook and MacBook Pro. I like the MB for its simplicity and keyboard (plus it's cheaper). I like the MBP for the bigger screen and matte option. The one thing that turns me off from the MBP is the keyboard. IMO, it reminds me of grinding my fingernails on a chalkboard, and I don't like it. While it's not that bad, I was wondering if the iSkin would give me a more comforting feel. So anyone with an iSkin, does it make the keys on the MBP feel better?

I'm not sure why you don't like the feel of the keyboard, but if you like a more rubbery feel, then the iskin could be for you. I have it for my MBP and am not impressed. I'm taking it back tomorrow in fact. It's a quality product, made of a very good grade of rubber, but I don't see the point. I'm gonna do a little mini review on it soon but here's my reasons. 1) it will slow you down a little in typing speed. 2) it does not make your MBP spill proof or gaurantee nothing will leak into your keyboard by way of the unsealed edges. Very tiny spills will be okay. yay. 3) the speakers are completely vulnerable. 4) it does seem to trap some heat. 5)while it's completely washable and advertises keeping finger grease from transfering onto your screen when you close your notebook, you would have to wash it every single time before you close it to avoid this happening. The iskin itself adds a good amount of thickness that makes contact with the LCD near certain. Also, bare keys are very unlikely to transfer anything anyways because they're recesed in the middle. It's a good idea, but I don't think their concept works as well for this as other iSkin products.

If you buy it, consider a microfiber cloth also to cover the iskin before closing the notebook. The best thing I can say for them is they're made very well, and will help keep dust out.

I have an iSkin on my macbook. It makes the keys fairly quiet, its a harder to type extremely fast, but with it you barely will make mistakes, itll take a day to get used to, then you should be as fast as usual. I got it because i have a blackbook and the oils from fingers reallly show on the keys and i dont like that. It protects it very well and i like mine. I got mine for like 15 from newegg... I would recommend it, it does the job.
