The M1 era has significantly boosted the Mac lineup, with several powerful desktops to choose from. How does the Mac Studio stand out among these options, particularly regarding performance and value?

Currently, the Studio is the fastest Mac you can buy. OK there is the Mac Pro but you would only buy that if. you needed some exotic PCIe card, likemayb for a specialized network or camera interface.

The base M2-Max sells for $2000. It is a great value, only if you need it. If you don't it is a total waste of $1400 because the $600 can do what most people need to do.

People always ask "What computer should I buy?" questions and don't talk about what they do with the computer. Do you need a notebook or is a desktop OK? Are you doing scientific computing or online shopping? What computer are you using today and why is it not working for you?
