Folks, I have a scenario where I have a long time whatsapp account and it is being backup up to icloud and using 3gb storage. What happens if I remove that account and add another account temporarily on a new sim card? When the new account gets backed up, it will be fresh...and when i change sim cards again, will i be able to restore my first backup? Can I keep two whatsapp backups on icloud? Any idea?

Saves chats, pics, etc you send in the app itself. It’s quite handy imo

So I am more concerned about what i receive vs what I send...and i don't have "auto save to camera roll" enabled...which is why i am more dependent on the backup to icloud

It’ll work, but the point of backups is to save what you want

Dear all,

I am a new (user, but longtime reader) in this forum. I am writing to ask your advice on a topic which I believe has been discussed here already (feel free to revert my question to more appropriate thread if this is the case): backing up whatsapp fro android to iphone.

I was using an android phone which broke (screen out of service). I managed to retrieve the backup file (I believe it is on google drive but I am not sure, anyway I have a copy of the file on my computer).

How do I manage to transfer this backup to icloud? there are thousands of softwares advertised on the internet but, beside the fact that they mostly need to debug the android phone to work (which is not possible in my case because the screen is dead), I am afraid that these are fake solutions, so I though that I might ask here first. Any suggestion?

thanks in advance!
