I want to love the new AirPod Pros but struggling with the fit. Out of the box, I switched to the large earbuds and passed the Seal Fit Test. But with mild activity they, mainly the right one, came loose and even fell out. I switched to the medium caps and am getting better results but can still feel them loosen with mild activity. I may try the small caps, but my mind keeps wondering if this in-ear design just isn't for me. I mean, with the medium caps I am shoving these in to hopefully get a good seal only for the seal to loosen. So, should it be this hard? Should I be inserting them in as far as possible?

If you feel the AirPod tip pressing against your eardrum it’s probably a tad too deep in.
Personally I like to wear mine until outside noise is almost completely sealed, some people may use different size of tip on each airpod.

i just gently insert them into my ears with a small twist until it feels right and secure.

that's what worked best with my previous in-ears too. i remember having some problems with that in the beginning, but after a while it becomes very easy and you just feel it right away.

Mine said I had a good seal with the medium tips, but I prefer the small. They seam to fit better. Less worry about falling out. Still get a good seal.

In my experience it's more important to rotate the stem forward a bit (to "screw" them in) than pushing the pods in. Also, don't assume that you need a bigger tip if you don't get a seal. In my case I needed the small one (only on one side, which has the advantage that I have a complete spare pair now ;)).

Yeah, I've followed all of these tips and worked through various combinations of ear tip sizes. Nothing seems to help. The seal keeps breaking and they keep falling out. I'm throwing in the towel. Taking them back.

Don't want to sound condescending, but are your ears really clean on the insides?

Maybe take a paper towel, clean the silicone really well, and make sure to wipe your ears of any oils/wax.

Seems that the silicone tips have an ever so slight grip in my ears when they are cleanest and seem to be a little "loose" if there is any amount of "junk" in the ear.

Yes, I can assure you my ears are clean. Cleaned twice a day every day. The silicone tips came out clean every time.

On a plane flight I was getting engine noise leaking in my right ear unless I pushed it manually further in to get a good seal. So I guess I should move up to large? But the medium has fallen out three times already (right side only) - does larger hold better or will it push out if too big?

Same situation with me. My ear holes are just too big. I got them to stay in by hacking a pair of comfort tips into the large tips. Still don’t pass the seal test though.
