How fast do your steam games download?

Just started using steam and I am downloading at around 130 kb/s. Normal? Gonna take forever : (

It's the sale thats on clogging the servers.

I normally get / got about 1mbps but with all this traffic it's more like 100kbps.

You can change your location to somewhere remote or wait until "off" hours to start the download. Should be better after the sale.

My peak download speed is 107 kb/s and thats the speed Civ IV downloaded at for me. Spare a thought for us remote location internet sufferers, I can only dream of 130 kb/s!

Usually between 5 and 6 MB/sec

But I tend to download stuff at like 4am.

Usually 1 to 2 megs per second. I downloaded the Force Unleashed yesterday evening and it took about 6 hours to download 30 gigs. The game looks and plays great and only paid $7!

minimum 250 kps but usually around 1mbs, however it randomly changes.

I have never downloaded slower than 1.1mb/s, however last night i was downloading at 6.4mb/s I was amazed
this was late night though, just depends when your downloading really if you can wait until late night and you get the best speeds
