How fast is the iPad shipping in the US?

Hey guys,

Definitely getting the ipad (wifi). I'm thinking about ordering now, just to get on the waiting list, and then if the iPhone announced during WWDC is mind-blowing and changes my mind (which as of now, doesn't seem that likely, atleast to me), then i can cancel it.

So how are shipping times, as of now (June 2)? Even though it still says 7-10 business days to ship on Apple's website, i'm wondering if the time has gone down since the ipad (wifi atleast) has been out for 2 months now.

There have been threads on this, but none really recent...

I got one yesterday that I ordered on May 17th. So, 2 weeks plus.
 
Friday evening the 28th at 4PM the order got placed. Did the one day shipping, sent out the next day. Got here today about an hour ago, I'm on it now. 4 days.
 
i put my name on the notify me list. 4 days later it was in the store.

and i live in a heavily populated west palm beach area. it's not like i live in wyoming or anything either. much much faster than i was anticipating.
 
Cool. I just ordered mine this evening...32 GB WiFi w/ standard shipping. They're giving me an ETA of 6/23, but I'm guessing I might get lucky like the above posters and have it sent out early?

I couldn't wait that long especially after purchasing it. I had to do the next day shipping. My shipping was a part of the gift certificate I used on amazon though so I don't know how much next day was. Did it give you the option and if if did, how much was it?

I didn't even consider next day shipping...but I don't think next day would expedite the order processing, though? Doesn't next day only pertain to the time after the device is handed to the ship carrier?

In other words, next day is a fed ex thing, not an apple thing, to the best of my knowledge...

What was the ETA given to you when you ordered?
 
Mine shipped after 10 days, and was at my doorstep in 4. So two weeks from when you order it, the iPad should arrive

It seems like the trend is apple overestimates a bit, and the package arrive a few days ahead of schedule. I'm in no super rush or anything, but the sooner the better...and I'm leaving town for a bit on the 28th, so lets hope they don't take too long.
 
Interesting...last night, when I placed the order, it was showing ship date 6/18, arrival 6/23. Now it's show the same ship date, but arrival on 6/22.

EDIT: Now it went back to 6/23...
