I just bought the 2022 12.9 iPad Pro and I am planning to sell it two years from now. How much volume can these speakers handle before degrading? Should I stick to 50% volume or can I go up to 75% when listening to podcasts and watching TV/movies?

While nobody can answer that, typically Apple has always made it where you can play at max volume on all their devices without any issues (e.g. distortion). That said just play it at whatever volume you want and if you notice any weird noises then turn the volume down which is just speaker 101.

I have a six year old iPadPro which I regularly listen to without worrying about volume levels and its speakers are fine.

Our older iPad Pro's do not have any issues. - But with this new iPad you are buying you would probably prefer a set of Airpod Pros to get spatial audio and higher quality of the sound. - Why plan to sell such a device already after two years. It will still be a great device in 2030. There is a limit to how much can be improved on these devices.

There’s nothing like connecting my iPad Pro 12.9 to my USB audio interface connected to my Genelic Pro studio monitors. The only thing is the interface drains the iPad battery even with the charging cable connected.

I figure the 30W charging block would fix that little problem.

I don’t use my iPads for listening to music but I usually listen to videos and movies at max volume and I’ve never experienced any issues with the speakers.

can speak of 1st-gen iPad Pro 12,9"s, which I've used during the last 7 (!) years at large volumes: absolutely no problems.

I keep 80% at max due to variation of volume level in songs, movies and games. Speakers at my iPad 2 and MacBooks are broken due to its too loud (used by my kids).
