How good is the 24" Imac matte screen version?

That came with the matte screen as an option, correct?
How good is that model compared with the newer Imacs?

That maybe an option, but I wonder if I could find a good one.

I am still not ruling out the 27" glossy. I realize that I should have a backup computer too, if and when my laptop fails.

The 24" aluminum iMac never did come with a matte screen option. Are you perhaps thinking of the old white 24" iMacs?
