How good is the screen?

Better. I've never seen a computer screen that looks better, honestly. The black levels aren't quite as good as my Pioneer plasma (pure black is a very dark gray on the iPad), but they're pretty good. A little better than my MBP and significantly better than my iMac. Saturation and brightness are excellent. Antialiasing isn't perfect, but that's not the screen, it's a combination of software and the mediocre 1024x768 resolution. If they up it to 1280x960 or so at the same size, it'll help. Overall I have no complaints about the screen.
 
I'll take it from two viewpoints, easier that way.

From a personal, human viewpoint. Stunning, much better than the MBP. Better viewing angles, better color saturation, darker darks and brighter whites. Profound, almost OLED-like color vibrancy.

From a technical standpoint, the MBPs all use the LCD technology known as TN. TN has poor viewing angles and not nearly as proficient color saturation as the IPS panel found in the iPad (top of the line, why Apple cinema displays cost so much). IPS panels have more transistors, so they produce much better color.

So from both a personal and technical standpoint, it's solid.
 
It has an LED and IPS technology. That's more advanced than any of the screens Apple is shipping in the current MacBook Pros.
 
I think the MBP and the iPhone Screen is better. The screen resolution is not as high on the iPad as it should be. It's noticeable when looking at small text. I still really like the iPad just wish the resolution was a little better.
 
Sounds great, now I can't imagine the new MBP's won't have IPS technology.

Another question, is it brighter at the highest setting, and darker at the lowest setting than the MBP's?
