To be honest the USB-C has been a minor annoyance. When visiting relatives where before I could just use any of their lightning cables lying around now I can't. I liked being able to use the headphones that came with my iPhone in my iPad.

Yes but a lot of android phones have been using usb-c for years now, including the Nintendo Switch. So you could use other cables or chargers.

I dont have the 2018 iPP but nah i have tons of lightning cables so a port change I wouldn’t benefit from .
And i like wire headphones option for tablets. For phone doesn’t really matter to me
