The device is only slightly larger, but the screen increase is dramatic. It feels much larger than it actually is – and I mean that in a good way. It's thin and light and the new screen refresh rate is instantly noticeable and dramatic.

Performance is stellar, so I didn't have any complaints about the previous generation.

Too soon to know. Better to have a couple of charge/discharge cycles to really know how battery life compares. Can't reach a conclusion after just half a day of use. Especially on day one. I, for one, set it up as new, and am installing tons of stuff, downloads, updates, etc. That's not typical usage.
