How is iOS 12.4.8 on an iPhone 6?

My iPhone 6 is currently on 10.0.1
It runs perfectly well, apps load fine and there's no lag.
But, I want to wipe the phone and reinstall everything (from a backup) to get rid of the "other" storage which looks to be about 25 GB.
If I do that, and it "updates" itself to the latest 12.4.X, I want to know that it's still going to function ok.
Does anyone have an iPhone 6 running 12.4.8 (or .9) that could share their results?
It runs fine. Can't really say how much of a difference there would be jumping all the way from iOS 10 though, especially since experiences like that can be perceived differently by different people.
Hi, my iPhone 6 is not longer my main phone since I've upgraded but I'm still using it every day at home watching youtube videos and other things. It runs the latest iOS but it's laggy for me. For example when typing something on the keyboard there is a bit delay sometimes, like nothing happens for a few seconds then it suddenly types out all the keys i have pressed at once so I need to delete and type again. I'm not sure if its because the latest iOS is too heavy for the 6 or if its something wrong with my phone.
I would just stay on 10.0.1. 12.4 isn't very good on the iPhone 6. I would just get a 6s at this point if I was you.
You would lose a little speed but I think the drop in battery life would be more noticeable.

Another vote for staying w/ iOS10.
Battery life is less w/ either 11 or 12 than 10 (see on-line comparisons).
Also IMO the user interface is more Apple controlled in 12.
I have found no apps that need 12, but some need 11. iOS11 brought 64bit apps to iOS hence app developers will be eventually switch from 32bit (iOS 10 and older) to 64bit. This change in file type is what attributes to less battery life and slower performance I would think.
• The iP6 should NOT update from 10 if you use iTunes to backup/restore and have auto update turned off in Advanced Preferences. Look for this ability in your version of iTunes before connecting. If not present you can revert to an older version of iTunes.
• The iP6 will be more desirable to many buyers if you stay at 10 IMO.
