Ok so here is my story.
I have 2 GB Ram in my MBP
My GF has 2x512 in her CD MB
and her parents have 1x512 in their CD mini

Everyone needs memory but me!
But i was thinking I could by a 2GB stick and use a 1GB stick that I recently bought to put in my GFs MB...take out one of her 512 and put it in the mini.

Everyone makes out!

I have a couple of questions (please answer any you can):

1. Will I notice the extra GB in my machine even though I rarely use all my memory?

2. Is it ok to have a 1GB stick and a 512MB stick paired up?

3. Is the 1GB in the mini enough to run leopard well?

4. Does apple care about other memory installed when doing repairs? --even if it is original apple memory (like it will be in the mini)

Thanks for any help.

You kinda answered this yourself. ;)

In the mini? Yeah, that's fine.

Yep, it's more than enough.

It depends on the type of repair. Obviously if the problem is memory-based then they'll have an excuse for not repairing it.
