We all know the outcome, with iCloud having gone live this last week as a would-be competitor to Dropbox. But Dropbox has done rather well, with 50 million users, one new user signing up each second, and revenues expected to hit $240 million for the year despite the fact that 96% of users don't pay a thing for the service. The company was recently valued at $4 billion, and raised $250 million in capital to grow Dropbox into an Internet powerhouse.

Music match?

can i put all my music on there?

They have a free 2GB plan with ways to get small additional chunks of storage or larger plans that cost money. If you have much more than 2GB of music you may need to purchase storage of you want to but all of your music on their servers.

Seriously, do you EVER stop to think about these questions? 300 posts in 1 month, most of them ridiculous questions.

LoL.... Trust me, I feel the same way and have been put in the penalty box a few times for not being able to control my response..... My favorite threads are the ones people make asking complete strangers how they should spend a few hundred dollars.....OR the ones that want people to help them decide color, case ect ect.

I thought I was just an ******, good to know I'm not the only one!

They lose money if everybody on there is a free customer.

Yet, there are a LOT of people who want additional storage, and are willing to pay for it. Those people make up the costs of the freebies (Such as myself :p), and generate profit for Dropbox.
