How is the iPhone 7/ iPhone 7+/ iPhone SE. How is the call quality on these phones and which would be better ? I have heard some people having poor call quality on iPhone 7/7+ on Verizon, is this true?

Call quality is mainly important for me as I use my phone 97% of the time for talking 2% for email and 1% for photos.

Thank you for your time and help.

I haven't heard of any issues with the iPhone SE. At first it was reported that some (not all) Verizon iPhone 7/7+ users were having LTE connectivity issues: Verizon iPhone 7 Users Afflicted With LTE Connectivity Problems

However, I never experienced any issues on Verizon when I used the iPhone 7 for approximately two months before switching to a Pixel. If you currently are using Verizon and have good reception you should be fine. If you're planning to switch to Verizon I believe they have a 14-day return policy so you can test out the network and device to make sure it will work for you.

iPhone 7 (4.7) on Verizon and really excellent call quality. FWIW, most of my calls are over wifi, but all calls sound good and I get no complaints from callers.

My wife's new iPhone 7 Plus sends muffled audio (like she it talking behind a towel) to her callers. Two support threads here and here on the issue. Please buy one and let us know your success after a week's ownership.

Thank you. Do you prefer the iPhone over the Pixel in terms of Call Quality ? Which one would you say would be the better phone for making calls. Thank you for your time and have a great day.

You're welcome. I generally only make calls over Wi-Fi calling or VoLTE (typically only using my headphones), but between the two it would be difficult to determine any sort of difference on call quality from using the handset up to your ear. However, if you use speakerphone often, I would probably lean towards the iPhone 7/7+ due to the stereo speakers.

If your use is mostly basic such as phone, text, email, then definitely go iPhone, I feel like it's a better experience for that usage. For instance on iOS you can save voicemails as shown here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205012

But, on the Pixel I can't find a way to save any voicemails, although it wouldn't surprise me if this was added at a later time. Also on Verizon the iPhone can have 40 voicemails for free, whereas the Pixel can only have 20 with their basic voicemail or 40 with their $2.99/month premium voicemail. Here's a link for a comparison chart: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/voice-mail-comparison/

Both are nice phones but each excel in different areas and each have their own limitations.
