My iPhone 5s is on 8.4.1. For some reasons 8.4.1 has a lot of battery drain bugs and I don't know if iOS 9.2 battery is good or not if I want to upgrade, Apple stopped signing iOS 8, so I won't be able to get back, I can sacrifice performance for the sake of longer battery. Does any one see iOS 9.2 good or better and can last for good amount of time?

how much battery life are you getting in 8.4.1? 9.2b4 seems faster than 9.1 but it's kinda early since i upgraded yesterday and the increased speed could be the cache and other junk being cleared and all.. Meanwhile battery life is probably not ideal due to spotlight indexing..

That being said, i dont see much difference in battery so maybe it's a good thing. Will keep you posted.

5 to 6 hours of battery is what I get daily, the battery drain bug is so bad it makes it sometimes turn off very early. I know some would say it's the battery but I've read a lot of posts about people who had this bug exactly with 8.4.1 and they changed their batteries hoping they would get some better battery life but it turns out it's a big and popular software problem.

iOS 9 has Low Power Mode which makes a huge difference, at least on my iPhone 5 anyway. I can get iOS6 level battery life with this mode. Only annoying issue is that it's a bit slower but you probably won't notice the difference on a iPhone 5s.

yeah I find iOS 9 with battery saver has given me the best battery life on the 5s I've ever had. Battery saver gives about an extra hour of battery life than what I got before on iOS 8 & 7

Just remember that iOS isn't always optimized for older hardware so it's not always going to be an improvement.

the 5S and 6 are pretty comparable in terms of performance so the hit shouldnt be too bad.
but yeah.. battery life when it's behaving OK surpasses ios8 by a noticeable margin.

Did you try erase all settings and reset? Set your phone as new. I am sure it will make some difference.

Just back up your pics by copying to computer folder and not through iTunes. Backup your whatsApp chats and then reset.

Do not restore from backup.
