Specifically, is the larger screen size over the Plus models worthwhile? Or is it just more of a pain to carry?

Any Pro Max iPhone is a bit of a pain to carry but the 16 Pro Max doesn't feel any more cumbersone than the 13 Pro Max I have previously. The size difference in regards to the physical casing of the phone is negligible.

I took the plunge and went for a pro max this year after always going with smaller phones. Never looked back and it doesn’t feel vastly different tbh. No regrets.

Not a lover of giant phones, I went to my local T-Mobile store to get a 16 Pro in titanium. They only had it in the PM, so I got that. It actually does better in my pockets than I expected, and I find myself appreciating the larger screen size. But, as is often said, YMMV. Like @HDFan stated, it's a personal choice, and checking them out in person is your best option.

The big screen size is great.... Looks big at first but you quickly get used to it. fits perfectly in all my pockets except for this one pair of joggers I have, but its no big deal.

Anyone who complains about 8 oz being too heavy really needs to do some curls lol. I mean seriously, its 8 ounces, come on.

I barely notice the bigger display size. I switched due to the bad battery life of the iPhone 15 PM and now I‘m more than happy.

coming from a 12 mini, I almost hate it. It's bulky awkward to hold. It's faster for basic stuff than the mini due to ram I guess. It's only beneficial if you watch a lot of stuff, play games and maybe edit photos videos on your phone. Other than that it's annoying to use and the mini feels like a little toy afterwards. I dont mind the little text of the mini.

battery does last a long time. With my use I can get 1.5-2 days on a charge.

It's a nice phone if you don't mind using it with two hands and carrying a brick in your pocket, but some people value smaller and lighter devices much more than a big screen.

Pocket? Who in their right frame of mind puts on a pair of nice trousers and a shirt and then stuffs a modern day phablet in their pockets amongst other things. Welcome to the 21st century …🤣

If I had to carry any kind of bag with me on a daily basis, I'd carry an iPad Mini instead of a tiny iPhone 16 Pro Max Ultra brick.

Love my 16 Pro Max. I can use it one handed just fine for the most part! Is it a tad big at times? Yes, but you get used to it. The big screen and battery life are killer! My iPhone is the one device I have on me all the time and use all the time. I want the bigger screen and battery for this reason alone.

THIS! I bloody love mine coming from an iPhone Xs.

I have only ever bought the Pro Max, and the previous Plus models, any smaller model would be completely unusable for me. The larger screen estate is a deal breaker for doing most iPad tasks while on -the-go! Suffice is to say, i managed iPhone X back then with its smaller footprint.
