iPad How is typing on the new 12.9 on screen keyboard?

I have a second gen 12.9 and I love it, but I hate typing on it unless I am using the apple smart case keyboard. I can type really fast on my 10.5 however. Thank you in advance.

I’m returning the 12.9” because there is no split keyboard. Also hearing that the 11” doesn’t have it as well, but on screen typing will still be better due to the smaller size.

I’m coming from the 10.5” to the 12.9” and actually enjoy the extra keyboard real estate.

Typing is a stretch if you have small hands.

We do need a split keyboard. I don’t care enough to return the device though.
