I realize this answer is going to vary quite a bit but I was wondering if there’s a general idea. For example how long can I expect the Air 3 to be sold on the Apple store after the IPad Air 4 comes out? Do I have a few short weeks left to buy one or potentially months?

I’ve noticed almost every day Apple updates the refurbished side of the site to include new listings and to take them away. Sometimes there’s no models available and sometimes there’s tons.

It’s making me anxious lol. Sorry if this question is stupid but i really thought I might as well ask

It will vary depending on where you live. Probably once Apple completely runs out of refurbished iPad Air 3 models (or if a new iPad drops or something like that)?

The refurb store still has the 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 and 12.9 available.

As mentioned though, this would be highly dependent on supply (so likely from returns and warranty replacements)

I’ve been checking every day now for atleast a week and they have no refurbished of any model. I wonder if that’s because they are about to launch the new device? Shifting around stock?

I’ve noticed the same. It may be because they’ve run out of refurb stock due to a lot of students still at home. Would Apple hold back refurbished iPad stock until the initial wave of Air 4 buying waned? I wouldn’t be shocked.

They just go quick. I saw a few refurb iPads in stock last week but they were gone within like 3 hours.

Is there any way to get notified when the Apple Store has them? I’ve checked three or four times a day during the past two or three weeks and have seen only the minis.

There's a couple of refurb tracking sites out there that might be helpful. The general release interval from new product release date to being available in the refurb store is three months. Because the iPad Air 3 was released in March 2019, it's been in the refurb store for a little longer than a year. The refurb iPads are going very, very quickly over the past few months so maybe one of the tracking sites will help you nab one.

I've been keeping an eye on refurbished iPads ... over the last 6 months because I wanted to grab a mini. Most times I check the iPad Refurbs are completely sold out. I've visited BestBuy a few times and - same - their tablets are hot items and sold out. I think with the current virus situation that tablets are a desired product.

That said, about Apple's Refurbs - it's been sold out most of the times I've checked over the last 6mo.
