iPod How long can shuffle stay "paused"

I have a 2G shuffle and I just got a case to wrap around my arm. Unfortunately the case covers the on/off switch, and turning it on and off is difficult.

I was thinking about just leaving it in the on position and just making sure it's paused. How long can it stay in this position?

I think it's time to give up the ghost on that Gore 08 thing.

Similar to the problems I have with Gore's book and movie, I am interested in using ACUTAL data, not vague predictions of possibilities, based on flawed opinions.

Anyone else have some experience with keeping the shuffle on "pause" mode?

ok wow gore is way cooler than every body else. I would have Bill Clinton but he cant run anymore

Depends on the conditions. I've had things forgotten in just a few minutes, and sometimes it will remember the song for weeks.
